Since its inception in 1997, the Marcia Mounsey Foundation has awarded more than $100,000 in music and athletic scholarships to Northwest Denver kids. 

The foundation’s mission is to provide neighborhood students with extracurricular opportunities in art, music, and athletics to enrich their education and help them compete with their peers from around the state. 

The only race of its kind, the Northside Stride is organized by Dr. Jeff Young, owner of Planned Pethood Plus veterinary hospital and the head cross country coach at Denver North High School.   

All donations are tax deductible.

Race-day prizes:  Sponsors wishing to showcase their services at the event are welcome to contribute prizes and gift certificates that will be awarded in a drawing after the race. All contributors will be acknowledged in the race flyers and recognized at the event.  For more information or to make a donation, please contact any of our race organizers All groups are welcome to join us on race day to hand out material and enjoy the free food provided by P.P.P.!
